This Privacy Policy explains how GetAesthetic LLC ("GetAesthetic," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the GetAesthetic mobile app, website, and related services (the "Service").
By using the Service, you acknowledge that we process your information as described in this Privacy Policy.
Information We Collect
- Account information, such as your email address, name, authentication provider, subscription status, and app preferences.
- Fitness profile information you choose to provide, such as goals, training experience, workout schedule, equipment, focus areas, gender, birthday, height, weight, and notification preferences.
- Workout data generated through the Service, such as selected programs, custom workouts, completed sessions, exercises, sets, reps, weights, duration, streaks, personal records, progress history, and related analytics.
- Health integration data, if you choose to connect Apple Health, Google Fit, Health Connect, or a similar service. Depending on the permissions you grant, this may include activity, steps, body measurements, weight, heart rate, or similar fitness and wellness information.
- Purchase and subscription information, such as product identifiers, entitlement status, renewal status, transaction metadata, and restore-purchase results. Payment card details are handled by the applicable app store or payment provider and are not stored by us.
- Technical and usage data, such as device type, operating system, app version, IP address, diagnostics, crash logs, performance data, feature usage, and approximate interaction times.
How We Use Information
- To provide, personalize, maintain, and improve the Service, including workout planning, workout logging, progress tracking, recommendations, reminders, account management, subscriptions, support, safety, debugging, fraud prevention, and analytics.
- To generate fitness recommendations and progress insights based on your profile and workout history.
- To communicate with you about account, security, product, subscription, support, and service updates.
- To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, protect the Service, and respond to lawful requests.
Health Data and HIPAA
- GetAesthetic is a consumer fitness and wellness app. In most cases, we are not a health care provider, health plan, health care clearinghouse, or business associate under HIPAA, and workout or fitness data you provide directly to GetAesthetic is not treated as HIPAA protected health information.
- If GetAesthetic ever provides services for a HIPAA covered entity or business associate, that relationship will be governed by the required written agreements and applicable law.
- Even when HIPAA does not apply, we treat fitness and health-related data as sensitive personal information and apply the protections described in this policy.
Apple Health, Google Fit, and Health Connect
- Connecting a health platform is optional. You control permissions through the platform and your device settings.
- We request only the health and fitness data needed for user-facing app features. We do not use health platform data for advertising, credit decisions, or sale to data brokers.
- We do not sell information obtained from Apple Health, Google Fit, or Health Connect to advertising platforms, data brokers, or information resellers.
- We do not share health platform data with third parties unless needed to provide the Service, required by law, part of a business transfer with appropriate protections, or explicitly authorized by you.
How We Share Information
- Service providers. We may share information with vendors that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, authentication, payments, analytics, diagnostics, customer support, notifications, and infrastructure providers. They may use the information only to provide services to us.
- Current service providers include Supabase for authentication, database, and storage; RevenueCat for subscription entitlement management; Sentry for diagnostics and crash reporting; Apple and Google for app-store, sign-in, and platform services; and hosting/infrastructure providers for the website and app services.
- User-directed sharing. If you choose to make content public, share a program, apply as a creator, contact support, or use an integration, the information you choose to share may be visible to the intended recipients.
- Legal and safety. We may disclose information when we believe it is required by law or necessary to protect users, the public, our rights, or the security of the Service.
- Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this policy or replacement privacy terms disclosed to you.
No Sale of Personal Health Data
- We do not sell your identifiable workout, fitness, health integration, or consumer health data to advertisers, data brokers, information resellers, or similar third parties.
- We do not use your Apple Health, Google Fit, Health Connect, or similar health integration data for targeted advertising.
- We do not currently serve third-party advertising in the Service.
- We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand and improve the Service, but we do not attempt to re-identify it.
Retention and Deletion
- We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service, maintain your account, comply with law, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect security, and maintain legitimate business records.
- You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data through the account deletion flow or by contacting us. Some information may be retained where required by law, for security, fraud prevention, backups, financial records, or dispute resolution.
- Deleting your account does not cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription. You must cancel subscriptions through the applicable app-store account settings.
Security
- We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Children's Privacy
- The Service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can take appropriate action.
Your Choices
- You can update certain profile information in the app, control notification settings, disconnect health integrations through your device or platform settings, and request account deletion.
- Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, receive a copy of, or restrict certain uses of your personal information. To exercise privacy rights, contact us using the information below.
Changes to this Policy
- We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the date above and post the revised policy on this page. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as appropriate.
